Liminal Minimal

I’ve been working on transitioning this site over to a static generator and I’ve also been working on a new site design.

What I decided to do is sort of a cross between the two: my current site will be converted into a static version of what stands today, design and all. It’ll be an archive of what was essentially the “tips, tricks, and bookmarks on web development” that the site was for much of its existence. I’ve created that static version which sits in a corner—currently unused but ready to go.

The new site will be a new thing with a new design. But until the new thing exists, what do I do with posts like this? I don’t have the new thing to push content to but I also don’t know how long it’ll take me to get the new thing with a new design done. Does the site languish until I’ve had a chance to complete everything or do I essentially publish new content in two places: the current dynamic site and the unseen static site?

Since you are seeing this post, the answer is clear. I’ll have to duplicate my efforts for what I hope is a short period of time. I made some serious headway on the new site but then April became quite busy.

Perhaps May will have enough time for me to get the new site launched and, while I don’t blog all that often, I think it’s safe to say that things will be minimal until the transition is complete.

Adactio Elsewhere

I seem to have left pieces of myself scattered around the internet. This is my attempt to pull some of those pieces together.
